Att ga over an efter vatten

Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro was good but internet free. Right now I'm in an internet café in northern Argentina, so this will have to be a brief entry.

After spending a sunny week in Rio with some other people from the team I went on a 24-hour buss ride to Foz do Iguacu in southern Brazil. I arrived yesterday and it's been raining for two days straight. The place is famous for a huge water fall (The Iguacu falls) so I've been watching a lot of water in the rain. Yesterday I saw the falls on the Brazilian side and today I crossed the border to Argentina and Puerto Igusú, where I am now. It's a nice town, but not too much to do. I've mainly been walking around the town in the rain and sorting out some practical issues. Tomorrow I will visit the falls on the Brazilian side and then head on to Buenos Aires in the evening.

Time to get started... again?

Japan was amazing! Too much for words, really. My idea was to blog and keep everybody at home updated. Somehow, I only really felt the need to do that the first two weeks (while I still felt a bit homesick). After that I had too much fun to spend time writing about it, and since people stopped leaving comments I thought no one read it anyway.

After coming back, I've been scolded for being too bad at updating this thing. So I will make a new attempt this time, but no guarantees on regular updates.

Tomorrow I am going to Brazil for the WKC. Still can't believe it. After that I will be in Rio de Janeiro for a week with some people from the team. My friends will return home and I will continue my journey on my own. I plan to head down to Argentina as soon as possible via the Iguassu falls. Then to Buenos Aires, where I'm really keen on checking out tango. From there I'll hop over Rio de la Plata to Uruguay and Montevideo. Maybe out to the Atlantic coast as well.

In the end of September I'll be in Córdoba for 4 weeks where I will study Spanish and do volunteer work with Fundación AFOS. Really looking forward to that. After my course ends I will cross over the Andes via Mendoza to Valparíso and Santiago in Chile.

And it's not over there. I'll fly from Chile to Miami, to Atlanta, to Albuquerque. Maybe Grand Canyon. Thanksgiving in San Fransisco and the grand finale in Vancouver. I'll come back home in time for Christmas.

Thinking of the distance I get scared. But it will work out. It is always hard to leave. I f*cking hate leaving. Once I get started though I hope I will have so much fun I won't have the time to feel homesick. =)
